£250,000-A-Week Salary Accepted, Wenger Massive Update Signing A New Contract

Arse Talks brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the north London club will have to break the bank to ensure the signing of Germany’s playmaker Mesut Ozil in convincing the midfielder to sign a new contract.

The German current deal with the Gunners expires in 2018 but the German playmaker reportedly wants improved terms on his contract in order to remain at the Emirates stadium.

Ozil, 28, has earlier insisted that he also wants to be part of the club winning team, with Arsenal without a Premier title since 2004.

Moreover, the French manager has still remained coy over the German’s future, he said, “If you have a good bank, call me.”

Wenger added: “I don’t think he needs convincing. He wants to stay here.

“It’s not just money. Arsenal can win titles of course. But that’s what we have to show. We are in a league where Man City, Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea everybody fights and you cannot guarantee that to anybody.

“We keep that [negotiations] discreet. At due time we will come out with that. We want to keep our best players, of course. But the more I say that, the more he is in a stronger position.”
