£30m-RATED Riyad Mahrez Linked With A January Move To Arsenal

Arse Talks brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Leicester City and Algerian international Riyad Mahrez recently revealed that Arsenal could not afford to meet with his club asking price for him in the summer, and he has no regrets over the failed transfer.

However, with the current squad current at his best and players in good form, it remains to be seen if Arsenal would still be interested in the Algerian, but presently, the question as to whether the Gunners still need is simply ‘No’.

The former Le Havre graduate was in the form of his life last season as he alongside Jamie Vardy played an influential role that secured the Foxes to an improbable league triumph.

With the PFA Player of the Year accolade last term, many expected the Algerian to be pursuing a fresh challenge at one of Europe’s elite clubs, but it was not to be as he opted to pen a fresh four-year deal at the King Power Stadium on wages worth £100,000-a-week.

Since then, the 25-year-old has looked far from his old self, and this brings similarities with a certain ‘Eden Hazard’ who was lost after his Premier League glory with Chelsea in the 2014-15 campaign.

Arsene Wenger’s side were on the market for the versatile attacker over the previous transfer window, but with the player exceeding their £35m valuation, they had to finally settled with the signing of late bloomer in Lucas Perez (Deportivo La Coruna) in a £17.1m deal.
