As Arsenal prepare to host Championship side Reading at the Emirates in the 4th round of the League Cup at the Emirates, Arsene Wenger is expected to ring some changes to the side that drew at home to Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough at the weekend.
Wenger is not one that will take the Reading contest for granted considering Arsenal have not won the League Cup for over two decades winning only two FA Cup trophies in 12 years. Wenger is expected to start with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation with Martinez in goal as the young lad seem to be reserved exclusively for the EFL.
In defence Carl Jenkinson is expected to retain Bellerin, whilst Gabriel and Rob Holding will man the central defence. On the left flank of the defense will be Kieran Gibbs who has struggled for game time this season.
Below is how the team will line up this night.
