Arsenal are thinking about selling Lucas Torreira after Serie A side AC Milan lodged their first offer for the star, according to reports.
Earlier in June, the Uruguayan sparked talk surrounding his future at the Emirates by admitting that he preferred life in Italy.
Lucas impressed in his first campaign with the Gunners after he was purchased in a £26.5 million deal from Sampdoria the previous summer.
According to Italy’s media outlet Sport Mediaset, AC Milan have submitted a two-year loan offer for the midfielder worth up to €8 million (£7m) and includes a €38 million (£34m) right-to-buy option that would be paid in one instalment.
The report states that Arsenal have responded by telling Rossoneri that they are prepared to negotiate and they would want an obligatory purchase clause as part of the reported deal.
