Arsene Wenger may be without a crop of his key players after the international break with various reports claiming that Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin have picked up injuries.
There were reports yesterday that Arsene Wenger wanted Sanchez back to the Emirates for proper check up but the coach if Chile had declined Wenger’s request.
Sanchez was initially understood to have suffered a calf problem while on international duty but the Chilean FA then confirmed that the 27-year-old had in fact sustained a hamstring strain.
Chile have travelled and will face Colombia this evening and Sanchez was left out of their trip for their World Cup qulaifier.
Sanchez has now had his say on his injury in the lead-up to kick-off.
