Arsenal have made an offer to sign Barcelona attacker Malcom on loan. Unai Emery is willing to sign a new right-sided forward this transfer window, but the Gunners are hampered in the market due to their £45 million kitty.
The Premier League giants are in talks with Crystal Palace over a potential deal for Wilfried Zaha but their initial £40 million offer is far below Palace’s asking price. Arsenal have made an offer to sign Malcom on a season-long loan with an option to land the Brazil international permanently.
The Catalan giants, however, would prefer to cash in on Malcom this window but the sides who are willing to meet their €40 million valuation do not interest the 22-year-old ace. Malcom’s agent is due to meet with the Spanish champions’ hierarchy this week to reach an agreement.
Barcelona signed Malcom for an opening £36.5 million fee from Bordeaux last summer. But the winger failed to secure a regular role and made only 15 appearances in La Liga last term.
