Liverpool have reportedly moved ahead of their Premier League rivals Arsenal in the pursuit of AS Nancy wonderkid Bilel Hassaini in the summer by making a bid for the starlet.
The French team are prepared to dispense with several players during this transfer window as they look to raise money to avoid relegation from the French second-tier.
Hassaini has attracted the interest of potential suitors by impressing at a no.10 role for France at youth level.
According to Foot Mercato, the Gunners are among the teams interested in Hassaini however, have yet to make a bid, prompting their Premier League rivals Liverpool to jump ahead of the North London club by making an offer of their own.
PSG also made an approach for the 18-year-old and were reportedly willing to pay around £300,000, however, the contract ended up falling through.
