Former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas finks that a fit Danny Welbeck should start Arsenal’s next match ahead of Alexis Sanchez in the Arsenal side.
The England international did indeed start ahead of the Chilean in Arsenal’s 0 – 0 draw with Chelsea at the Bridge a week ago, with the Chilean coming on as a late substitute.
However, Danny Welbeck sustained a groin injury against Chelsea and is likely to stay out of action until October.
That means the Manchester City target is probably going to start for the Gunners when they host West Brom at The Emirates Stadium in their next English Premier League match on Monday.
However, the former Arsenal star claims that the former Manchester United star should be in Arsenal’s first-choice starting line-up ahead of Alexis Sanchez.
Talking on Sky Sports News on Thursday, Nicholas said playing against the Blues last weekend, you knew Danny Welbeck had to start ahead of Sanchez.
