Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has gathered more points over the last 100 league matches than Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and Liverpool tactician Jurgen Klopp.
As per to statistics from Sky Sports via The Sun newspaper, the French tactician has earned 197 points from his last 100 league matches – more than Portuguese Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino of Spurs and Liverpoo’s Jurgen Klopp.
The statistics come as something of a shock, given that the Arsenal boss is considered to be the worst coach out of the top-six clubs in the English Premier League, from what we all hear in the media.
Tottenham manager Pochettino is highly-regarded, as are his Tottenham Hotspur side, but he’s actually gathered the same number of points as Arsene Wenger. Wenger’s two extra victories gives him the edge in the log.
Last season, Tottenham finished above the Gunners in the Premier League table for the very first time since 1993.
Jose Mourinho’s record will likely improve if his Manchester United side keep up their current incredible form. However, a sixth-placed finished on the Premier League table for them last season was poor by Jose’s standards. The former Chelsea boss’ record is also pulled down due to Chelsea’s poor title defence during the 2015/16 Premier League season.
As for Jurgen Klopp, his Liverpool team have been rather decent but also consistently inconsistent. For every victory they secure against big sides, they drop points against lesser sides.
However, Arsene Wenger’s tally isn’t anywhere close to Antonio Conte’s 247 points. His Chelsea side won the title with a Premier League record points total last campaign, and is the standard Arsenal must work towards.
