Arsenal boss delighted fans bought tickets for AFC Wimbledon game

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is very happy to hear the club’s supporters are buying tickets for their game against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.

The Gunners have endured a tough start to the season, despite picking up two narrow Premier League wins in a row in recent weeks.

As they prepare to take on AFC Wimbledon in the cup on Wednesday, Arteta thanked supporters for buying so many tickets for the midweek clash.

Arsenal have sold approximately 48,000 tickets for the game, which is impressive considering early season cup clashes are usually low in demand.

Arteta said during his press conference:: “I am really happy to hear that [positive ticket sales] because the boys are really looking forward to playing at the Emirates again in the cup, winning that game is the only priority right now, and then we can think about Spurs and how special that is as well.”
