Unai Emery is thinking signing Miguel Almiron or Hector Herrera to replace Aaron Ramsey.
Arsenal seem to be ready to lose the midfielder either in January or next summer, after manager instructed the club to stop contract talks with the Wales international, who is reportedly being targeted by Liverpool Manchester United and Chelsea and could leave in January as the Gunners aim to cash in before his deal expires in the summer.
The departure of 27-year-old star will leave a big hole, one Emery is keen to fill as quickly as possible. The Evening Standard claims Porto ace Herrera and MLS star Almiron are two names on Unai Emery’s shortlist.
Miguel Almiron has already been heavily linked with a switch to Emirates with some reports suggesting the deal has already been agreed and will go through in winter.
Hector Herrera is Porto’s captain and regularly features in the Mexico side, playing every minute of their World Cup campaign this summer.
