Despite being the longest serving and most experienced manager in the Premier League, things are not looking rosy for Arsene Wenger as he tries to break the jinx of not winning the League for over a decade.
After bounced from an opening day defeat to Liverpool in the League and have not lost any other game, however, former Arsenal star Alan Smith believes Arsenal will not win the League.
Arsenal are just three points adrift of Chelsea who are currently leading on the table but have attracted huge criticism from all quarters.
And according to ex-Gunner Alan Smith, Wenger’s side are unlikely to end their 12-year title drought this season.
“I wouldn’t have too much money on them winning the league, I really wouldn’t.” Smith was quoted as saying on Sky Sports
“The performance at Old Trafford showed their shortcomings.
“They have got better, they’re winning or drawing some games that they might have lost last year, but I still think they’re a distance off having that mental attitude to go on and stamp their authority on the league.
“They have great quality and strength in depth – but are still a little bit short for me unfortunately.”
