Premier League side Leicester City will reportedly provide late competition to Unai Emery’s Arsenal in the hunt to sign Miguel Almiron from MLS outfit Atlanta United.
Reports in Italy state that the Foxes are interested in the player, in spite of previous reports suggesting that the star on his way to Arsenal in a £15 million deal.
The attacking midfielder was expected to join Arsenal in the January transfer window after impressing Major League Soccer but is now appears that Leicester City are also in the running.
The Foxes themselves will be interested to strengthen to build on their start in the Premier League.
Miguel has impressed for Atlanta United and has played a key role in their rise in the MLS. The 24-year-old star has scored 12 goals and registered a stunning 11 assists for the Five Stripes this season.
Capable of playing through the middle or on the left, Miguel Almiron has an eye for a pass and knows where the back of the net is too.
Despite interest from Premier League 2015/16 champions, the club yet to start official negotiations with Atlanta United’s hierarchy over the potential transfer of Paraguayan star.
