Arsenal fans inspire me, says France striker

Summer signing Alexandre Lacazette has hailed Arsenal supporters, insisting that their immense support has put a lot of confidence in him despite joining a completely new league.

Alex Lacazette claims that Gunner fans’ faith in him since he signed from Lyon for a club transfer record of £52million in the summer has put much confidence in him. While he feels a good pressure.

The 26-year-old forward has already netted four goals in seven English Premier League matches this season. All those matches have been at the Emirates Stadium in front of the home supporters.

While scoring away from home would be the next target, fans are just delighted with how easily he’s adapting into English football and have been impressed with his high work rate.

So far, the forward’s created seven goalscoring chances in the English Premier League and has a pass completion rate of around 77%, which could obviously be improved upon. However, the striker’s more of a forward target-man and goal poacher than provider of assists. Therefore, these figures aren’t too worrying.

Lacazette has received another France call-up for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria on October 7 and Belarus on October 10.
