Arsenal fans want former Chelsea manager to replace Arsene Wenger

Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti has opted against signing for another side this season following his sacking by Bayern Munich.

The three-time UEFA Champions League winner, has already been strongly linked with a couple of clubs. However, he has opted to remain a free agent for now.

Ancelotti was speculated to likely return to Serie A club AC Milan. A former AC Milan player, he managed the club to two UEFA Champions League titles, one Italian Serie A title and a Coppa Italia cup. Since leaving the Serie A giant in 2009, success has been hard to get for Milan.

Media reports claim the boss will not be joining AC Milan as a replacement for coach Vincenzo Montella, however. Reports indicate that Ancelotti is keen on taking over at North London club Arsenal. However, Carlo will only take over the Emirates club if Arsene Wenger departs the club next summer.

The tactician spent two seasons managing reigning Premier League Champion Chelsea in the Premier League. He guided the West London club to a Premier League and FA cup double in his first season. The Italian was sacked, however, following his second campaign with the side. The The Blues finished the season without winning a single trophy.

The boss was strongly linked to Everton following their 2-2 UEFA Europa League draw during the week. Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been under severe pressure. Supporters have shared their desire to see the former Chelsea boss get the Goodison job and to turn the club’s fortunes around.

At the moment, it seems likely that the Gunners are the only side that could tempt the boss back into coaching this term.
