Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has tipped youngster Reiss Nelson to become a star player, although he warns that the starlet will have to continue to work very hard to reach his potential.
Nelson, 17, has impressed coming through the youth ranks at the club, while he’s done well for the senior team in pre-season and in short outings so far this year.
Now the teenager will hope to prove himself under Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and try to push his way into his first team more regularly, and aside from confirming he spotted the players talent early on, the club legend believes the wonderkid has what it takes to develop and mature into a prominent figure for the North London club moving forward.
The forward’s surely at the right club in Arsenal and with the right coach in Arsene Wenger to get chances, as the veteran French tactician has never been scared to give youngsters a chance.
While some young players have fared well than others which is normal, Reiss Nelson will be hoping to be the latest success story and make a name for himself in the Arsenal senior team.
If the starlet can prove himself in a cameo role this campaign, the fact that stars like Germany international playmaker Mesut Ozil, Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez, and England international midfielder Jack Wilshere to name just a few are running out of their deals, he could be handed a more prominent role next campaign and beyond if they leave.
