Arsenal prepare to cash in on contract rebel, £275k-weekly offer not even close to valuation

According to reports, Arsenal are considering the possibility of selling Mesut Ozil in January as he continues to exhaust his contract.

The 28-year-old’s contract with Arsenal expires next summer, and there has been no signs of an extension.

As reported by The Mirror, Inter Milan have been strongly linked with a swoop for the German international playmaker, and it’s claimed that it may lure the gunners into negotiating with the Serie A giants over a possible January transfer in order to prevent losing the German for free a few months later.

Further, it’s noted the Gunners were encouraged by Mesut Ozil’s public declaration last summer that he wanted to remain as he was glad in north London, but the truth of the matter is that he still has not extended his contract and there is a large distance between his demands and what’s being offered.

It’s reported that the former Real Madrid midfielder wants £350,000-weekly, while the Gunners have tabled over £275,000-weekly which is a massive contract for them which still is not close to meeting his demands.

It remains a big issue for manager Arsene Wenger as along with Chilean Alexis Sanchez, as the French tactician could lose both of his top stars next summer as both will be out of Arsenal contract.
