With Aging Germany international defender Per Mertesacker set to retire at the end of the current league season and German defender Shkodran Mustafi strongly linked with departures this past summer, Arsene Wenger could consider bringing in one or two defenders and the Frenchman has never shied away from giving youngsters a chance.
