The Mirror claim that UEFA have confirmed the England international will not face further action and will not serve any punishment, making the player available for the quarter-final first leg clash at home to CSKA Moscow.

Despite facing no retrospective action from UEFA, the forward has seen heavy criticized for the easy way in which he fell to the ground to earn that spot kick.

Before this match, Danny Welbeck had netted only five goals for the Gunners this campaign in all competitions, so the striker surely hasn’t been a stranger to criticism.
