The Super Eagles forward has developed in the senior team setting at the North London club and also helped his National team to qualify for the next summer’s FIFA World Cup by netting the winner against former AFCON champion Zambia last week for the Super Eagles. Since his promotion to the Gunners first team, Alex Iwobi has played 66 matches for the club but Chuba Akpom who also hails from the West African country is still waiting for his senior team breakthrough.
Chuba Akpom has long been a prominent figure for England during recent youth competitons and also has always impressed during the Emirate club’s pre-season tours but is still fighting hard to make it with Arsenal.
Injury problems has hindered his development so fans will hope he can return to goalscoring ways soonest, as he would be a vital addition to the team especially with all of Arsenal’s persistent injuries.
