Bad News – Mesut Ozil Reveals He’s Returning To La Liga

Arsenal have not won the Premier League for over a decade and this continues, Arsene Wenger may find it difficult to keep some of his best players.

Arsenal star midfielder Mesut Continue has somewhat hinted that he may be heading the Santiago Bernabeu, after he proclaimed Zinedine Zidane as his idol.

Ozil spent three seasons at the Bernabeu under Jose Mourinho but left the club to join Arsenal following the Portuguese’s departure in 2013.

However, after impressing with the Gunners in the Premier League, Ozil has been linked with a move back to Madrid.

Ozil is yet to put pen to paper on an Arsenal new deal and it seems he is wary of the club’s ambition as to pushing for titles.

The Germany international has refused to rule out the possibility of moving the Spain as he lavished high praises on some of the big names in La Liga including Zidane.

‘Iniesta is a big player. I like how he is playing, but my real idol was Zinedine Zidane,’ Ozil told the Times.

‘He was not selfish. He scored, but he also made assists. He was a leader.

‘I also admire Xavi. Barcelona was huge because of him, his calm with the ball. He was a leader, he was controlling everything.

‘Everyone speaks about [Lionel] Messi, but if you look at the [bigger picture], it was Xavi who made the whole team work. He made Messi better. And the other players, too.’

Ozil’s comments may worry Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger ahead of what is a busy fortnight for the club.
