Arsenal are allegedly among the sides interested in a potential transfer swoop for FC Barcelona shot stopper Jasper Cillessen.
The North Londoners already have David Ospina, Petr Cech and new recruit Bernd Leno as options in goal going into the new campaign, so it’s surely a shock to see them connected with another huge name in that position.
However, Mundo Deportivo claim that the Blues are looking at the Dutch international, along with AS Roma, Arsenal and Serie A giants Inter Milan.
While the North Londoner’s need for a new safe hand does not seem really urgent, it makes a lot of sense to see some of these other suitors looking at Cillessen’s Barcelona situation after his lack of regular playing time at the Catalan club.
A good player, the 29-year-old goalkeeper remains behind the outstanding Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the pecking order in manager Ernesto Valverde’s team.
