England international Jack Wilshere wants to remain at Arsenal despite reports strongly linking him with a free transfer away from this summer.
The Arsenal midfielder is out of contract, and the North London club have not yet offered him a new contract. That is not a surprise.
He has been in and out of the hospital for years, and the North London club undoubtedly want to make sure that the player can reliably remain fit before they offer him an improved deal.
Talking to the Guardian, Jack Wilshere said, “Do I [Jack Wilshere] see myself staying [at the club]? Of course, I do [want to stay].
“I [Jack Wilshere] have always been at Arsenal, I [Jack Wilshere] love this club.”
He admitted Arsenal have been good to him over the years, and that he has a great relationship with the manager.
“He [Arsene Wenger] has played me [Jack Wilshere] since I [Jack Wilshere] was 17 [years old]. He [Arsene Wenger] has put his trust in me [Jack Wilshere] since then. We [Jack and Arsene] have a good understanding, and of course, I [Jack Wilshere] want to stay.”
Jack Wilshere was one of the best performers for the Gunners in Belarus on Thursday evening, and many feel surprised at his sharpness on the pitch of play.
