France international Alexandre Lacazette is already a crowd favourite among the Arsenal fans. But he will be on course to becoming a cult hero at the Emirates Stadium if the striker can pull off what he is claiming he will try and do in recent interview.
It’s no secret that Lacazette is very good friends with international teammate, Antoine Griezmann.
Both strikers have been pictured on several occasions joking about on the field and in training for France whenever the team meet up.
The former Lyon striker said their nicknames for each other are Griezzy[Griezman] and Lacaz [Lacazette]. If Griezzy [Antonio Griezman] visits me [Lacazette] in London, I am going to ask him to sign for [my team] Arsenal!”
The France striker was strongly linked with a transfer move to Premier League giant Manchester United all summer window and was manager Jose Mourinho’s first-choice player ahead of Belgian Romelu Lukaku.
The Atletico Madrid forward even went as far as half accepting he would like to sign for the Red Devils before it was announced that the Spanish La Liga side’s transfer embargo was to be upheld.
This stopped the La Liga club from replacing the forward, and the 26-year-old French striker was not set to leave his Spanish team in the lurch, putting a halt to the deal.
