Tony Pulis has accused Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez of cheating following his team’s 2-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
According to The Daily Mail the West Brom manager believes the Chile international should have been yellow carded after diving in an attempt to win a free-kick for the Gunners early on in the match.
The Ex Stoke City boss went on to disclose how he felt Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi should have been red carded after temporarily falling Jay Rodriguez in the penalty area before the striker picked himself up and struck the post amid an advantage played by the center referee Bobby Madley.
Tony Pulis said:
“Then obviously that challenge is a penalty. If the lad’s (Jay Rodriguez) the last man then not only is it a penalty call then it should also be a red card for the Arsenal defender. People say the West Brom striker (Jay Rodriguez) has been too honest and his honesty the thing to do?”
West Brom have gone 39 Premier League matches without being given a penalty.
A double by record Arsenal signing Alexandre Lacazette was enough to help the Gunners earn the maximum three points as they rise to the seventh spot in the Premier League log.
They next head to Belarus on Thursday night for a date with Bate Borisov in their second UEFA Europa League group stage fixture.
