Breaking: Real Madrid star in London for Arsenal medical

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is in London for an Arsenal medical.

The Sun says the Gunners are on the verge of securing their second signing of the summer after Ceballos arrived for his medical.

The Gunners have been assured that the 22-year-old will still sign for them this week in spite of Marco Asensio’s horrific knee injury.

Real Madrid have confirmed that Spanish international Asensio suffered a torn cruciate ligament injury as well as damage to his kneecap during Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in Washington.

He has already been ruled out for the season and there were concerns that could affect Madrid’s plans to send Ceballos out on loan to the Emirates.

But Arsenal, who return from the United States this lunchtime, have been told that Ceballos will still be joining them for the year before returning to the Bernabeu next summer.
