As per Football London, Arsenal star defender Calum Chambers has been sidelined for at least another two weeks after sustaining a setback in his recovery from a hip problem.
Chambers hip injury kept him out of action until mid-September when he finally played his first match of the League season during Arsenal’s Carabao Cup victory over Doncaster.
However, the 22-year-old defender lasted 45 minutes as he suffered the injury during the first half and manager Arsene Wenger initially ruled him out for about two weeks.
Fans were hoping he could return to the squad for last weekend’s match with Watford or be in the running for the UEFA Europa League away trip to Red Star Belgrade on Thursday.
However, Football London report that the defender is still not back after sustaining a setback in his recuperation and should be out for at least another two weeks.
As long as he does not suffer any further injury setbacks, then the defender could make his return against Red star Belgrade on November 2nd but the away trip to rivals Manchester City on the 5th is probably a much more realistic option.
