Report emerged earlier this week that Arsenal had offered a huge sum for Torino striker Andrea Belotti but that it was rebuffed by the Italian club.
However, Arsenal denied the report but we know that anything is possible with Wenger and his interest in the transfer market.
According to the Metro, we have been told it will cost them a staggering £86.5million to seal the transfer of Torino striker Andrea Belotti by his agent Sergio Lancini.
Arsenal interest stems from the fact that they are unsure of the future of Alexis Sanchez and so preparation for life after him.
Belotti has 26 goals in his last 54 games in all competitions, and Torino are determined to hold on to him unless someone meets the full value of his £86.5million release clause.
‘Many clubs are interested,’ Lancini told Goal. ‘€65million is not enough. His clause is €100million.
‘That’s all I can say at the moment.’
Arsenal aren’t known for paying up huge sums of money in the transfer market, but look like they could be in need of extra firepower up front as Alexis Sanchez’s future is thrown into doubt over his continued contract row.
