Arsene Wenger have been boosted by the return of Mesut Ozil to training ahead of this evening’s clash with West Bromwich Albion.
The Germany international ace has been out of action for about three weeks with a knee problem, with his last match being in the Gunners 3-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth earlier this month, as per Express.
The former Real Madrid star could finally be in the starting lineup in a three-pronged attack that should have Chile international Alexis Sanchez and France international Alexandre Lacazette, but fans widely believe the want-away star will rather be named on the substitutes bench as his match fitness might still be questionable.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger might feel his team can get a favourable result on home turf against West Brom without their assist king operating from the start of the match, so Mesut Ozil may only start from the bench late on if the North Londoners need a goal.
With tonight’s opponent likely to play for a draw, defending deep and being compact at the back, it may take a good passer of the ball lake Ozil to unlock their defence.
Nevertheless, having the assist king return to action is a major boost, and having him on the bench should help the team pick up the maximum points this evening.
