Arsenal are prepared to offer £20million for former academy star who has now won back to back Turkish league titles for UEFA Champions League group toppers Besiktas.
In 2012 a promising Arsenal youngster Oguzhan Ozyakup decided to exit the Emirates Stadium and embark on a career in Turkey.
The Netherland born midfielder signed for Besiktas for a fee of £500,000.
The now 25-year-old midfielder’s rise has been identified by his former club Arsenal.
Turkish sports publication Fanatik claim that the Gunners are set to pay £20m for Ozyakup later in January.
As per various media source, Arsenal have been watching the Turkish star closely this season.
Besiktas are keen on renewing Ozyakup’s deal but are also open to cashing in on their star man at the end of the campaign for the right fee.
As things stand, the Gunners could actually enter direct negotiations with the Besiktas star in January as he has less than 12 months remaining on his contract.
