According to reports, Spanish La Liga giant Atletico Madrid are close to completing winter transfer deal for Lautaro Martinez, although Premier League giant Arsenal are also interested in the talented Argentinian.
As per reports in Argentina, the La Liga side have agreed a £10.75million move to bring the 20-year-old to the Spanish La Liga. Arsenal are apparently keen on the striker, with talkSPORT reporting that Arsenal are keeping close tabs on him.
He Arsenal target plays as a centre-forward for Argentine side Racing Club. He put together a decent run of form towards the end of the last campaign, netting four goals and assisting one in his last eight matches of the season.
Lautaro Martinez also has a very decent record for the Argentinian youth sides, but obviously it’s almost not possible to get into the first-team presently, with Barcelona star Lionel Messi, striker Gonzalo Higuain and Man City’s Sergio Kun Agüero just a few of the attacking players at their disposal.
The young fprward has clearly made the best of his Under 20 chances, netting seven goals and making one assist in 11 matches, including two goals in two at last u20 FIFA World Cup. However, it should be said that in one of those two matches he was red carded against England.
