Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez has reportedly made Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin one of his main transfer targets to solve his team’s defensive issues.
Having sold Brazilian Danilo to Premier League giant Manchester City in the summer, Real Madrid are short of depth on the right-back position, particularly with Dani Carvajal currently injured.
Achraf Hakimi, 18, played in that position against Tottenham Hotspurs in this week’s UEFA Champions League match at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the Real President is understandably worried that manager Zinedine Zidane could do with more top class players in that position.
As per Don Balon, this has seen the Perez turn his attention to the Arsenal full back, who has impressed as one of the most exciting youngsters in the English Premier League during his time with the Gunners.
The Spaniard became a regular starter for Arsenal in the 2014/15 League season, taking the place of defender Mathieu Debuchy while he was injured and never looking back since.
Hector Bellerin is now considered one of the Gunners most important players, and as per Don Balon his good form also attracted interest from his former side FC Barcelona in the summer.
