Arsenal have lodged an €80 million (£70m) bid to Lille for Nicolas Pepe, according to the latest reports in France.
Unai Emery is in the transfer market for a new forward who primarily plays on the wings and the club have already failed with a £40 million offer for Wilfried Zaha, who Crystal Palace value at £80 million.
Pepe also fits the profile Gunners are looking for but the 24-year-old star has attracted interest from a host of clubs following his impressive performances on Les Dogues’ right wing last season.
The Ivory Coast international netted 22 goals in Ligue 1 and created 11 assists, but he lost out to PSG’s Kylian Mbappe for the division’s Player of the Year award.
