As per a report in the Mirror, Premier League giant Arsenal are eyeing a winter swoop for Arturo Vidal with the midfield maestro being tipped to leave German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.
Vidal joined the Bundesliga giant from Juventus back in the summer of 2015 and has helped the team win consecutive German Bundesliga titles during his two seasons in Germany.
However, the Chilean international’s future at the club has been questioned recently with the mifielder enduring a mixed season so far.
Vidal, 30, has only started about half of Bayern’s matches and the Mirror are quoting a report from Tuttosport that says he is now set to seek a new challenge abroad.
The Gunners were linked with Arturo Vidal before he joined the German Champion and the claim says Arsenal would renew our interest if he does exit the Bundesliga giants either in the New Year or next summer.
The Gunners and Granit Xhaka was seriously exposed once again during the 5-2 victory at Everton yesterday so fans would love to see a fighter like the Chilean come to the Emirates Stadium.
However, Arsenal will face stiff battle as the newspaper says Serie A giant Inter Milan are also showing a keen interest in the player as they want to lure him back to Italy where he enjoyed a five-season spell at Juventus.
