Deal Almost Done! Former Arsenal star keen on Premier League return

Ex Arsenal star Serge Gnabry says he wants to come back to the English Premier League to play football once again at some point in his football career.

The German left the North London club in the summer of 2016 for German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. At the time, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reportedly did not want the versatile midfielder to go but the player’s want for regular football meant he was permitted to go back to the German Bundesliga for £5million.

Speaking to German magazine Kicker during an interview session, Serge Gnabry said It is definitely his wish to play in the Premier League again.

The 22 year old played well in his first League season at Werder Bremen, netting 11 goals and making two assists in 27 German Bundesliga matches. He spent only a season at the Bundesliga club though after giant Bayern Munich triggered his buyout clause to take him to Allianz Arena.

Serge Gnabry was not at Bayern Munich for too long though as he was sent out on loan straight away to German side Hoffenheim so he could gather more first team football experience. The former Arsenal star expects to return to Bayern Munich next summer, but in his interview with Kicker he went on to say that Unless the other team changes it’s mind, sometimes it happens in club football in a short time, but said his plan is to play next campaign with Bayern Munich.
