According to reports, Arsenal are leading the race to sign hot prospect teenage defender Harold Moukoudi, who is regarded as one of French football hottest prospects.

As per The Sun top French clubs RB Leipzig, Bordeaux and Nice are looking to secure a transfer to the City of London but either way, French club Le Havre are surer of the fact that he will sooner rather than later leave the French club after the end of the League season.

His French club has been popular for producing French youngsters helping the likes of France international duo Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet through their youth rank. The 19-year-old Moukoudi looks prepared to follow in their path and head to the Premier League.

The young defender has appeared at under-18 level for his Nation France but is yet to break through into the senior National team.

He has featured in nine matches for Le Havre this campaign and looks well made for the English Premier League, with his height and strength, he is a perfect replacement for the retiring German Per Mertesacker of Arsenal.

Arsenal may seal a transfer as soon as the winter transfer window and loan Moukoudi back to his Ligue 2 club for the second stanza of the season.
