Deal close: Arsenal negotiating with midfielder amid Manchester United and Juventus interest

According to a report coming from TMW, Arsenal’s 18-year-old wonderkid, Marcus McGuane is currently negotiating with the club about a long term deal.

With just less than year remaining on his current contract, this transfer is fend off any interest in the player from European heavyweights like Manchester United, Juventus and Manchester City who are thought to be sniffing around the teenager. McGuane’s current deal runs out at the end of this season, but the Gunners are interested in keeping him and fend off any bids from elsewhere.

The England Under 19 midfielder who hails from Ireland has come through the Gunners ranks, and recently played his first senior match in the 4-2 vicyory over BATE Borisov in the UEFA Europa league some weeks ago. He also plays regular football for the under – 18s and as cthe aptain, netted twice recently for the U-23 side against Everton.

Formerly known as Marcus Agyei-Tabi, the midfielder’s defensive versatility was greatly shown in the UEFA Europa League match when he played at right wing back, the hot prospect can also play well as a centre back.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has shown faith with young players this season already in the UEFA Europa League and League Cup and if this continues, the youngster will be hoping to get more regular playing time with the senior team, with Arsen Wenger obviously a huge fan already.
