Arsenal have reportedly been informed they must pay up at least €5million (£4.2m) to land Paris Saint-Germain full-back Layvin Kurzawa.
The Gunners have been on the observation post for defensive reinforcements this January and identified the 27-year-old as a potential target at the start of the transfer market.
Kurzawa is out of contract at the Parc des Princes at the end of the season and Arsenal have been in advanced negotiations to sign the left-back, with Sead Kolasinac (thigh) and Kieran Tierney (shoulder) both out injured.
The France international is considered as an affordable option and Arsenal believe there is a realistic chance of wrapping up a deal with the Parisians before the transfer deadline on January 31.
According to The Telegraph, the Ligue 1 giants are demanding a fee of between €5 million and €10 million for the former Monaco man.
Kurzawa was a regular during Unai Emery’s tenure at the club but has fallen out of favour in the latest months, with Thomas Tuchel favouring Juan Bernat on the left side of his defence. ~=ü:
