Deal Close – Unwanted Liverpool defender seek refuge at Arsenal

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly once again set to go head-to-head with this time being in the transfer race to land Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.

But Italian outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi have reported the north Londoners face competition from Lazio, who already have former Liverpool men, Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto on their books.

Both Lyon and AC Milan, who failed to land Lovren the previous summer, also reportedly remain interested in the Croatia international’s services this summer.

Liverpool board have slapped an £18 million asking price on the centre-half, who has just one year left on his £85,000 per week Anfield deal.
