Done Deal? AS Monaco Manager Hints At Thomas Lemar To Arsenal Deal

Only last week the news broke that Arsenal have had a bid of 40 million rejected by AS Monaco for the signing of Thomas Lemar. It was reported then that Arsenal will go back with another bid and in a news that will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans, Monaco’s manager Leonardo Jardim has confirmed more Monaco players could leave in the coming weeks.

It was initially thought that Monaco do not want to sell any more of their players having sold the trio of Dirar, Valere and Bernardo but Jardim reckons more could leave.

‘Three players have left – Dirar, Valere and Bernardo,’ he said. ‘Other players could leave us.’

Could one of them be Arsenal target Thomas Lemar? If true, this will be good news for Arsenal fans. Lemar is very much like Pires and I sincerely believe he will be a massive success under Arsene Wenger.

What is however worrisome is the fact that newer reports have claimed we have reached an agreement with Riyad Mahrez. Are we signing both Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar is the question that comes to mind. And if yes, could it then mean Sanchez is off?

I bloody hope Sanchez is not leaving. Arsenal certainly could do with him next season. I would hate to see him sold unless we are buying Lacazette, Lemar, Mahrez and Mbappe and letting Walcott, Sanchez and Giroud leave. Anything less than that will be suicidal. It will be akin to taking one step forward and taking two backward.
