Arsetalks brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
The Arsenal fans are wishing, hoping that the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez extend their contract with the club, but it is tying these world-class players is proving to be a tad more difficult.
The manager once said in December 2015, that contract talks would commence prior to the start of the 2016/2017 season. However, we are yet to see any progress thus far.
Rumours even have that Sanchez is on the Juventus’ radar, whilst Ozil is subject of intense speculation suggesting a return to Real Madrid is on the cards.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is adamant that such snags are expected in the process of keeping these world-beaters at the club.
on player contract negotiations…
It was always difficult. Honestly, what has changed is the size of the numbers but the difficulty was always the same. It’s always difficult to keep the good players because they are wanted by other clubs and it’s normal as well that the players try to get the maximum out of their negotiations because they have 10 years to play at the top level if all goes well. So it has always been difficult, you know, just the numbers have changed.
There is also a Hector Bellerin who is rumoured to be on Barcelona’s menu. We just have to watch as things pan out, though.
