According to report coming from Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, Arsenal and Premier League giants Liverpool have already sent scouts to watch Genoa forward Leonardo Pavoletti in action ahead of January move.
The Gunners side have watched the 27-year-old forward in action this season. The striker was playing in Serie B for Varese in 2014 before he made a full move to the Italian club, Sassuolo. He joined Genoa despite strong interest from the Leeds United.
Last season, Leonardo Pavoletti managed to bagged 15 goals in his 26 Serie A appearances. He was also called up to Italy’s senior side at the start of this season but has not yet earned his first cap.
It is believed that Arsenal and Liverpool are also monitoring another Serie A striker, 25-year-old forward Gregoire Defrel from Sassuolo.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also keen on to tied won their key players and preparing a bumper deal for their star player Philippe Coutinho.
Liverpool are looking to give new deals to a number of first team players after their rise under jurgen Klopp and Coutinho is on top of the list, Adam Lalana and Dejan Lovren are expected to be next players to sign contract extension with the Reds.
