Arsenal are relatively busy in this year’s winter transfer window and there are indications that Wenger is undone and might see some legs to his squad.
According to report, interested in a transfer move for highly-rated Torino striker Andrea Belotti, but have been put off his £50million price tag.
The Gunners had been keen to bring the Italy international to the Emirates Stadium this January, but may now wait until the summer to try and thrash out a deal.
The recent demeanor of Alexis Sanchez means Wenger is uncertain if the player will agree to sign an improved contract with Arsenal and Belotti is already seen as the ideal replacement for the energetic Chilean.
Arsene Wenger is a fan of Belotti’s talents, with the 23-year-old showing a prolific touch in Serie A in recent times to also attract the interest of clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United, according to The Sun.
Belotti has scored 14 goals in 18 games this season, and is becoming regarded as one of world football’s next big stars.
Given his age, Belotti is worth the bargain for him and even if Wenger does not succeed in capturing him this winter, the summer market will present a good opportunity.
