Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny is an injury doubt for Arsenal’s clashes with both Blackpool and Liverpool this week after he posted a video on social media showing himself doing rehabilitation work in the gym.
Elneny, who would have been a certainty to start the Carabao Cup clash with Blackpool on Wednesday evening, wrote a message on the Instagram video, saying that “he will be back”.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is expected to make plenty of changes for the home game against Blackpool on Wednesday, as he looks to keep his players fit and fresh during an intense period.
Elneny will not have been in the starting XI against Liverpool even if he was fit but he would have played against the League One side.
Emery will now need to shuffle his pack a bit more to ensure that he can strike the right balance between winning Wednesday’s game and keeping his players fresh for the Liverpool match on Saturday evening.
