Dani Ceballos asked Real Madrid not to sell him before the playmaker completed a move to Arsenal on a season-long loan, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Marca, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Arsenal were eager to put a clause in a deal that would allow for the possibility of a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
The same article states that the north London side attempted to convince Real Madrid to include a potential clause but the La Liga giants didn’t want to give the Gunners the option to buy Ceballos.
According to the same story, the 22-year-old made a desperate plea to Real Madrid not to sell the Spain Under-21 international.
