“He might join Roma” – Italian side set to hijack Chelsea move for Arsenal star

AS Roma are eyeing up a swoop for Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech this summer transfer window.

According to The BBC, the Serie A side are keen on signing Petr Cech, as they look for another goalkeeper.

Merseyside outfit Liverpool sealed the signing of Alisson Becker from AS Roma earlier in the week, for a world record transfer fee of £66 million.

The Brazil international goalkeeper is now the most expensive safe hand in history, and AS Roma are looking to replace the South American with Petr Cech

The Gunners are open to permitting Petr Cech leave the Emirates Stadium, following the summer signing of Bernd Leno from German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Petr Cech has played over 100 English Premier League matches in his three years with the North London side, with 117 across all competitions.

Cech, 36, however, made a couple of high-profile mistakes last term, leading to the acquisition of Leno to become the side’s first choice.
