No doubt, Arsenal are a big club with their own football ideology but one thing that’s obviously missing is leadership on the pitch when the team is losing.
Nonetheless, Arsene Wenger has singled out Alexis Sanchez as his leader, this follows from the Chileans form this season.
The Chile international has been in sensational form for the north London club this term and has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Gunners.
At Arsenal, Sanchez has earned a reputation of been the most hardworking player as he runs endlessly.
And Wenger has heaped praise on Sanchez for the strong performances he has shown for the north London side in recent weeks, saying he reminds him of Luis Suarez.
Wenger is quoted as saying by Daily Star, before Arsenal’s trip to Manchester City on Sunday: He is my leader.
“He is comparable to Luis Suarez a bit in style.
“Sanchez surprises you a little bit because of his size. You do not expect such a dynamic, strong winning attitude. He is a leader on the football pitch because he is not scared of anybody. That is leadership.”
