According to media reports emanating from Italy, Mesut Ozil’s exclusion from the Germany National squad could push him further towards leaving Arsenal.
The Germany international midfielder has been left out of Germany’s squad to take on Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan during their upcoming round of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. However, Italian publication Calcio Mercato have refused to mention that this is because the midfielder is currently sidelined with a knee injury.
As per Sport Witness, this is just the latest claim from the Italian outlet who claim that the playmaker could sign for Serie A giant Inter Milan, despite it being very unlikely that the Italian giant will be able to afford the rumoured wages of the 28-year-old.
Sure, the attacking midfielder could be leaving in the winter or even on as a free agent at the end of the current League season given that he has under 12 months remaining on his existing Arsenal contract. However, if he really wants to leave he may have to reduce his wage demands.
What else, Inter Milan president Erik Thohir stated clearly in his recent remarks regarding Mesut Ozil’s transfer saga since it seems that a quote of the supremo was lost in translation.
