Arsenal are prepared to hijack Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Dani Ceballos by meeting La Liga giants Real Madrid’s £45m asking price for the Spaniard, according to a report.
The attacking midfielder is expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer as Los Blancos look to balance the book after splurging close to £300 million on the likes of Eder Militao, Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic.
He is currently on international duty with his country’s U21s and has sparkled during the European Championships in Italy, netting twice so far in the competition.
According to AS, Spurs are interested in landing the midfielder and have already held negotiations with Madrid.
However, the report states Arsenal are more prepared to meet Madrid’s €50 million (£45m) asking price which could see the player move to the Emirates.
