Arsenal boast of one of the best Academy set up in Europe and this evident in the number of stars that have come out of the system.
According to reports, OXFORD UNITED boss Michael Appleton has revealed talks are underway over ending Dan Crowley’s loan from Arsenal early.
Crowley has been on a season-long spell at Kassam Stadium and has scored three goals in 11 appearances.
But last month Crowley was warned by Appleton about his professionalism.
And this week the Oxford manager said the teenager would be left out of his squad to face Macclesfield Town in the FA Cup on Friday.
When asked if Crowley’s loan at the League One side was over, the Oxford Mail report Appleton said: “Probably.”
He added: “We are just discussing the best way forward with Arsenal before we can put it to bed.
“Obviously budgets allow you to do certain things, but in terms of how we prepare, the environment we try to create for players is open and honest with each other.
“I’d be very surprised if it was much better elsewhere.
“We don’t question what we do, it’s a matter between Dan and Arsenal now.”
